How Cinebody developed & executed a streamlined event video content strategy for The Moth
The Client
The Moth is a nonprofit storytelling organization. They provide people the space to share true personal stories from their lives, both on stage and through their audio programs, podcast, radio show, and through their storytelling workshops.
The Ask
In the fall of 2022, The Moth launched their first ever Pop-Up Porch tour: a six city tour with a specially built, custom tiny home to provide people the space to come in to learn how to craft and share their own true personal story. For each stop of the tour, The Moth wanted to create a quick-turn recap video that both highlighted the six days that they were at each city, and also to showcase and excite fans for their next stop. So, The Moth turned to Cinebody.

The Cinebody Video Process
To produce each recap video quickly, affordably, and without sending a single production crew member on site, we implemented our signature Cinebody Video Process.

After learning the details of The Moth’s quickturn video needs, their dedicated Cinebody producer developed a remote video production plan that was both efficient & simple to implement.

The Cinebody team then worked closely with The Moth to implement the plan, developing a high-level structure for the videos, building a shot list, and educating their on-site employee iPhone filmers to capture all the necessary content for each recap video.

Armed with the specific shot list and plan, The Moth employees filmed all footage within Cinebody, where it auto-uploaded to the cloud. Their dedicated Cinebody producer checked in regularly to send specific filming direction & tips throughout each stop of the tour, ensuring all content needed was filmed.

Once the filming for each stop wrapped, the Cinebody team went to work producing the edit with already approved music & custom motion graphics. A first version was delivered within 36 hours for review, with finals following soon after for distribution.
